Brow LiftBrow Lift

Furrows belong in a field, not on your brow! A wrinkle-free forehead will contribute to the overall youthful look you're after, and a brow lift can get you there.

Recovery from Brow Lift Surgery

In the days after your brow lift, your forehead will be swollen and uncomfortable, and your forehead and face may feel tight. You may develop some bruising on your forehead and around your eyes. Your surgeon will give you a prescription for a pain medication and perhaps one for an antibiotic as well.

Your surgeon will also give you a list of instructions before you go home. This list will include directions on how to wash your face and care for your incisions. You will be told when you can shower and wash your hair. You will also probably be instructed to sleep with your head and shoulders elevated for several days after your surgery to help minimize swelling.

You will probably have an appointment to see your surgeon a few days after your surgery. Sutures may come out at this time or at a subsequent appointment within 10 days after your surgery.

Full recovery will take about 2 weeks, but the last remnants of swelling may take a month or even longer to go away. You can go back to work a week or so after your surgery and your surgeon will advise you when it is safe to take part in sports or athletics.
