Brow LiftBrow Lift

Furrows belong in a field, not on your brow! A wrinkle-free forehead will contribute to the overall youthful look you're after, and a brow lift can get you there.

Brow Lift Risks

Just because a brow lift is cosmetic surgery does not mean there are no risks. The general risks of a brow lift are the same as for any other type of surgery: complications from anesthesia, bleeding, and infection.

There are also complications that are specific to a brow lift. You may end up with areas of your forehead and upper face that have lost sensation. You may heal poorly, which can cause asymmetry.

If skin or other tissue is inadvertently cut off from its blood supply, parts may die. Dead tissue turns black and must be removed. You may also lose hair at the sites of the incisions. Usually the hair grows back, but in some cases people have been left with permanent bald spots.

You may not be happy with the cosmetic results even if there are no serious complications. If the skin and muscles of your forehead are lifted too high, you could end up with a very startled or surprised look.
