Facial definition is a delicate balance of proportion and symmetry, and it's a goal that can be achieved with facial implants for the jaw, chin, and cheeks, and injectable fillers.

Recovery after Facial Plastic Surgery with Implants Auigmentation

After your surgery, your surgeon will place a pressure bandage over the implant to hold it in place. This bandage may need to be worn for several days and then just at night to prevent the implant from becoming dislodged. The portion of the face over the implants will be sore, swollen, and possibly bruised. Swelling and bruising will go away within a few days of the surgery. Your surgeon may prescribe something for you for pain.

You will be instructed on how to care for your incisions. If your incisions are inside your mouth, you should try not to rub your tongue over them or do so as little as possible. You may be told to avoid eating certain foods that can irritate the incisions or eat soft foods for several days.

Usually, you can go back to work within a few days of having facial implants. Your surgeon will tell you when you can resume sports and other activities.
