Lip Augmentation
Full lips – not just a dream anymore. There was a time that you were pretty much stuck with what you had in the lip department. However, today's injectable fillers and lip implants can give you the perfect pout.
Recovery after Lip Augmentation Procedure
For injectable fillers, the recovery time from lip augmentation is very short. You will be instructed not to touch your lips and to try not to move them too much for a few days. Your lips will feel swollen and a bit strange, and you may have some numbness.
For lip implants, you will be given instructions on how to care for the incisions in the corners of your mouth. Do not pick at them or run your tongue over them too much. Your lips will feel very large and probably numb. Eat soft foods for the first few days. Avoid hot foods if you are numb because you will not be able to tell if they are too hot. You may actually have to get used to talking and eating with your new lips and may have difficulty in drinking liquids. Some of the swelling will subside within a few days.
You can go back to work a day or so after having lip implants put in.
